Lucas is a Partner of Slate Asset Management and sits on Slate’s Investment Committee and is a member of its Management Committee. Lucas has significant experience in the real estate industry and is responsible for Slate’s global asset management operations and Slate’s development team with a focus on value-add opportunities for Slate’s existing property portfolio.
Lucas also oversees Slate’s institutional investment business responsible for core and core-plus commercial real estate across Canada.
Under his leadership, Slate has assembled a portfolio of assets at the Yonge & St. Clair intersection in Toronto. Today, the team has acquired ten assets on all four corners of the node alongside a large Canadian pension fund and is undertaking a transformational redevelopment of one of Toronto's major intersections.
Prior to Slate, Lucas was at Cushman & Wakefield, the global real estate services and investment firm.
He earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Geography (Urban Development) from Western University.
